2016 was the third year that Float Tank Solutions compiled data for the annual industry report.
This is, of course, only a sampling of float centers – mainly from the US and Canada but with some international contributions. In total, we received answers from 170 existing centers and 247 prospective centers. From these we can get a representative idea of what is going on in the industry, although it will never be totally accurate.
Based on feedback from 2015, we revised the questions in the 2016 report, including the addition of revenue ranges and new data on staffing. The 2016 responses show a continued growth in the float industry. Once again, there were more centers opening than ever before, and those centers continued to be larger and more well funded than we’ve seen in the past.
